Straightforward pricing for self-paying patients, and full recognition from the UK’s leading private medical insurers.
A full assessment of your eyes, a clear diagnosis, and a treatment plan explained in plain terms.
A review appointment to check on your progress and see how well any treatment is working.
Claims handled directly within the fee schedules of Bupa, AXA, Aviva, The Exeter and other major insurers.
Mr Parnell sees both self-paying and insured patients across four clinics in London and the South East. Every fee is confirmed with you in advance, so there’s never a surprise waiting at the end of your appointment.
A new consultation costs £250, and a follow-up review is £200, payable on the day of your appointment.
Some investigations, such as OCT scanning, visual field testing or pachymetry, carry an additional charge. Where these are needed, you’ll be told the cost before they go ahead, not after.
If laser treatment or surgery is recommended, you’ll be given a full written quote before deciding whether to proceed, covering the surgeon’s fee, the anaesthetist’s fee where relevant, and the hospital’s own charges.
Mr Parnell is recognised by all the major UK private medical insurers, including Bupa, AXA, Aviva and The Exeter, and bills directly within their agreed fee schedules.
Please arrange pre-authorisation with your insurer ahead of your appointment, and bring your membership number and authorisation code with you. Any policy excess, or any cost your insurer doesn’t cover, remains payable by you.
You’ll leave with a clear summary of what was found and what your options are, and, where it’s helpful, a copy will be sent to your GP or optometrist too.
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or move an appointment. Appointments cancelled at shorter notice, or missed altogether, may be subject to a fee.
If you’d like to check a cost, confirm insurer recognition, or ask about payment before you book, the practice team is happy to help on 020 3494 4395 or consultant@milesparnell.com.
