THE SURGEON

About Mr Miles Parnell

Mr Parnell is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads the Glaucoma Service at The Royal Eye Unit. His practice covers the full range of eye care, from routine cataract surgery through to complex, advanced glaucoma.

He studied medicine at Imperial College London, trained across several of the capital’s leading eye hospitals, and completed a competitive subspecialty fellowship in glaucoma at King’s College Hospital. His MSc research into glaucoma, awarded with distinction, still shapes how he approaches every case today.

In clinic, that combination of surgical experience and academic grounding means a treatment plan built around your eyes specifically, not a standard protocol applied to everyone who walks through the door.
